Heart Screening Available – Save the Date

On September 26, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 pm, at Homestead High School, the Kyle J. Taylor Foundation will be providing on-campus heart screening for all FUHSD athletes. The screening includes a cardiac risk assessment, EKG, & doctor review, and takes about 40 minutes to complete. The screening is noninvasive and painless.
Studies show that EKGs are the preferred screening method to detect heart abnormalities, given that heart conditions often have unrecognized warning signs & risk factors. Every year, the Kyle J. Taylor Foundation screens thousands of student athletes in the Bay Area and has helped several students with risk factors for Sudden Cardiac Arrest – including last year at Homestead High School.
